We Are Hiring for a Lead Clinical Supervisor
General Description:
The two Lead Clinical Supervisors (LCS) share oversight of the clinical training and supervision of all agency clinicians. This involves in-person work with Santa Cruz and Watsonville clinicians, and video conferencing with new clinicians at remote sites.
Part-time 24-32 hours/week
In-Person, at least 4 days/week (no flexibility on this)
Individual Supervision: (16-20 hours/week)
LCS will serve as the individual supervisor for first year interns (mostly trainees), providing them with ongoing training in referrals, documentation, crisis interventions, mandated reporting, legal & ethical issues, terminations, fee negotiations, and all clinical concerns.
Misc Supervision, Consultation, & Auditing: (3-4 hours/week)
LCS will field spontaneous telephone supervision requests (sometimes crisis management), review clinical notes, track clinician schedules and performance issues, to identify needs for additional training or supervision to help maintain clinical standards.
Academic Liaison: (Average of 1-2 hours/week)
LCS will serve as the contact supervisor for the various schools of SAL trainees. This includes student evaluations, signing hours, and occasional meetings with practicum instructors.
Triage Interagency & Professional Referrals: (2-3 hours/week)
Respond to requests for services from the professional community and other agencies. Assign referrals to our staff or refer out.
Coordination of 1099 Contracted Supervisors: (0-1 hours/week)
Interviewing new supervisors, and consulting with existing supervisors when needed.
Group Program Development: (0-4 hours/week)
Design and implement new group services to serve the community, as time permits.
Other Meetings, Email & Phone Correspondence: (2-3 hours/week)
Unspecified communications may be needed in order to deal with miscellaneous issues that may arise.
Requirements:
- Licensed LMFT, LCSW or LPCC with over two years of licensed clinical experience.
- Experience with child or adolescent therapy and/or school counseling
- Strong teaching skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong Insurance Billing for Psychotherapy skills
- Broad understanding of multiple therapeutic orientations
