Violet Cole

MSW Trainee

Through the challenges of daily life, amidst the traumas and joys of being alive, everyone deserves a space to slow down and reflect. I aim to create a therapeutic environment in which this slowing down is possible, a safe space to share feelings and experiences that are difficult to bear alone. By talking together, feelings that might be overwhelming become more tolerable. To me, therapy is more than just seeking help. It is also seeking reconnection with all parts of yourself, including the parts that show up in relationships. I believe that therapy can both help us feel less lonely, and access feelings that might otherwise stay hidden. Drawing from a psychodynamic orientation, I am curious about all parts of your experience, from conscious thoughts to dreams, wishes, and fears. In paying attention to all of these parts, we can begin to uncover the patterns and themes that both make us who we are and also constrain us.

I am currently working towards my MSW at Cal State East Bay. As a social worker, I always consider the systemic forces and power structures that shape personal experiences, and will integrate this perspective into our work together. I welcome the opportunity to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences.

We have openings in all our offices and via tele-health. You don't have to wait around on a wait list. Use 'request an appointment," form to get matched with a therapist who will be a good fit for you.
