MFT Trainee

My practice is born out of my love for deep human connection and my experience of the healing that can come through relationship. When we create enough space to slow down, listen deeply, and get curious with the support of a caring other, we can come to know ourselves more fully and discover new ways forward. Being alive is a precious and beautiful thing, and it can also be profoundly painful and difficult. I believe therapy offers an opportunity to bring presence and compassion to the tender places in the human heart, creating a space to grow through the challenges and uncertainties life brings. I offer myself as a compassionate ally and mirror along the journey, while honoring each client as the expert of their own experience. Together, we can explore the stories, patterns, relationships, values, and experiences that have shaped you, making room to be with what was, what is, and what can be.

I seek to create a therapeutic environment that is warm, grounded, and safe for personal exploration. My approach is integrative and rooted in the understanding that healing happens not only through insight, but also through the wisdom of the body. I draw from person-centered, trauma-informed, mindfulness-based, somatic and expressive arts therapies. I support clients in developing greater awareness of thoughts, emotions, and present-moment experience, while gently uncovering patterns of protection that may shape how they move through the world, strengthening the muscle of self-compassion all along the way.

Depending on what feels right for you, therapy may incorporate creative expression through music, writing, visual art, movement, metaphor, or other creative practices. I also draw inspiration from nature and the animal world, which can offer meaningful ways of understanding cycles of change, connection, and belonging. At the heart of my practice is a belief in each person’s innate capacity for growth, resilience, creativity, and transformation.

My areas of particular interest include working with children, adolescents, young adults, women, and elders, as well as people navigating life transitions and exploring identity, self-esteem, spirituality, meaning-making, and grief and loss. I am especially interested in helping clients discover the strengths, values, and gifts that can emerge from even the most difficult chapters of life.
