Hi, if you are reading this, I imagine there are areas of your life that are not working the way you have hoped for. Maybe you are grieving a loss, or an important relationship is coming apart, perhaps a life transition has deeply shaken you, or you may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or having a sense of overall dissatisfaction.
I welcome you here just as you are right now. Regardless of where you find yourself, I believe the path toward wholeness starts the moment you make the decision to know yourself.
There are many things in life we cannot control, but by taking steps toward knowing ourselves, we tap into the unique and innate wisdom we each carry. This wisdom allows us to respond more skillfully to what life brings. It helps us grow our compassion toward ourselves and others, to increase our agency, improve our relationships, and to learn to nurture new growth in our lives.
I am here to listen to your story and to help you find your path. I strive to create a warm, compassionate, non-judgmental space so that you may feel empowered to face what is hurting and to allow healing and light into your life.
In a safe and supportive environment you may reflect upon your path, make new discoveries about yourself, and experiment with new attitudes and behaviors that are more aligned with your own values and hopes.
The foundation of my orientation is humanistic and client-centered. My training also includes Voice Dialogue (a Jungian-based form of parts-work), dreamwork, Gestalt, Hakomi, and mindfulness. From my previous career as a physical therapist and bodyworker, I bring an appreciation of the body-mind-soul connection into sessions.
“Each human is a complex, contradictory story. Some stories within us have been unfolding for years, others, are trembling with fresh life as they peek above the horizon. Each is a zigzag of emotional design and ancestral architecture. All the stories in the earth’s mind are connected “
– Joy Harjo, in Conflict Resolution for Holy Beings (p.20).
