AMFT #145807 Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor
I am a psychotherapist with a psychoanalytic orientation, specializing in depth-oriented work with a focus on interpersonal patterns, identity development, and relational dynamics.
I work with individuals navigating complex emotional, relational, and psychological challenges, helping them develop deeper self-understanding and more adaptive ways of engaging with themselves and others. My approach is grounded in a psychoanalytic and psychodynamic framework, informed by advanced training at the William Alanson White Institute, and values openness, curiosity, and a deep respect for the other. I also integrate existential, humanistic, and meaning-centered perspectives to support a nuanced and individualized therapeutic process.
I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relational difficulties, and identity development. In addition, I have specialized training and experience in substance use and co-occurring disorders, allowing me to support clients navigating addiction, recovery, and behavioral patterns that feel difficult to change. My approach in this area is flexible and individualized, incorporating both harm reduction and abstinence-based perspectives depending on each client’s goals.
As a CADC III (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) and Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I bring both clinical training and lived experience to my work. This allows me to offer a grounded, nonjudgmental, and realistic approach to change, particularly when working with entrenched patterns, emotional pain, and cycles that may feel difficult to shift.
I bring a culturally responsive, identity-informed lens to my practice, with experience working across diverse populations, including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. I strive to create a space where identity, culture, and lived experience are meaningfully explored and integrated into the therapeutic process.
My style is thoughtful, direct, and collaborative. I tend to work well with individuals who are seeking depth, insight, and a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships.
