Danielle Dornan

AMFT #160970

Dani is a collaborative, human-centered therapist who primarily works with women and young adults navigating identity, relationships, boundaries, life transitions, anxiety, and the process of figuring out who they are and what they want. Her approach is grounded in a fluid, present-focused, process-based orientation, informed by her year-long Mirror Training through The Process Therapy Institute and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Dani believes therapy is not about following a rigid formula, but about paying attention to what is unfolding in the room and creating space to explore emotions, patterns, and parts of ourselves with curiosity and compassion. She especially enjoys helping clients explore interpersonal relationships, develop boundaries, and better understand how their experiences and relationships have shaped the ways they see themselves.

Dani also incorporates a feminist lens into her work, creating space to examine how gender, culture, relationships, and societal expectations can influence the ways women move through the world. Her practice is sex-positive and affirming of diverse identities and relationship structures, including both traditional and alternative relationships. She strives to create a space where clients can be honest, curious, and fully themselves without fear of judgment. Dani feels honored to walk alongside clients as they develop greater self-understanding, strengthen their relationships with themselves and others, and discover what feels authentic to them. Sometimes the path to insight involves a few scenic detours.
