Welcome. If you’re reading this, it probably means you are looking for something different. If you are looking for individual therapy, I believe I can be of best support to those who have already begun their healing work and are ready to dive deeper. This might involve utilizing current high-tech approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS) or Somatic Therapy (e.g. Hakomi), as well as mindfulness and present-moment focused therapy, or possibly delving deeper into your psychological history. However, I am confident, ready, and willing to meet people wherever they are at on their journey. Additionally, I enjoy working with couples.
I bring forth a blend of both Western psychology and insights from Eastern mystics and spiritual traditions. Additionally, I have done trainings in IFS, Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Nonviolent Communication (NVC), Cognitive Therapy, and have a personal practice of mindfulness and breathwork that I bring into my work with clients.

 

I am excited about working with those who are in recovery from addiction, working with couples dealing with conflict, working to improve couples’ sex lives, helping clients explore the inner world of the psyche, and helping people to bring forth incredible curiosity, compassion, and love into their lives. Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Your fee will be set according to a sliding scale, in collaboration with your therapist, prior to your first counseling session. Total costs depend upon the number of sessions you choose to utilize.

If you have private health insurance, please be aware that your costs for therapy may be less by using an in-network provider for your insurance company. This will depend upon your plan's deductible amounts and co-payments. In some cases, counseling at Shine a Light is less costly than using private insurance.

If you hope to use "out of network" benefits through your private insurance, please be aware that many plans will not reimburse for services provided by pre-licensed therapists (most of our staff).
