Clinical Supervisor
LMFT 16121
Mark has been a licensed marriage and family therapist since 1981 and a clinical supervisor since 1986. Although Mark has maintained a part-time private practice on and off for 30 years, his primary experience has been in working for non-profit mental health and social service agencies as a supervisor and program director. For the first decade of his career, Mark worked primarily in residential and outpatient substance abuse.
He loves mentoring new clinicians at the beginning of their journey into clinical practice. Most recently, Mark has been taken with Internal Family Systems (IFS) as a very effective way of working with individuals and couples. Many years prior to that, Narrative Therapy was the modality he most favored. He encourages all therapists to find the manner of working with clients which best fits them and who they have in front of them in the consulting room.
Personally, Mark enjoys singing, beach volleyball, writing fiction for the first time and spending time
with his new granddaughter.
