Michelle B. Robinson is Director of Operations and Culture at Shine a Light Counseling Center, where she leads the operational and cultural infrastructure of a multi-site counseling and training organization serving Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Francisco counties. She oversees the people systems and processes that support clinical interns, supervisors, and the Licensed Group Practice – ensuring high-quality, affordable mental health services remain accessible across the communities we serve.

A Prosci Certified Change Management Practitioner, Michelle brings structured change methodology to organizational growth – from clinician onboarding and workforce development to multi-site expansion and clinical environment design. She has led two full site build-outs, partnering closely on the design of therapy rooms and clinical spaces that support both client healing and clinician well-being.

Michelle approaches operational work as relational work, holding the belief that how people are cared for inside an organization directly shapes how well they can care for clients. She partners with executive leadership to build the systems, culture and physical environments where emerging clinicians can grow into the fullest potential.

Outside of her professional work, Michelle is a fine artist and muralist whose work focuses on healing environments and the spaces where people come together. She also serves as a Mindfulness Mentor and is a certified Holistic Integrative Creative Arts Therapy Practitioner, facilitating workshops on mindfulness and creativity as pathways to self-discovery and fuller presence.
