Rio Lederer
Associate Clinical Social Worker #124438
ACSW #124438
I am excited to work with individuals and families as they navigate their healing journeys- emotionally, socially, spiritually. My work is centered in a psychodynamic approach which utilizes the clinical relational space between therapist and client to create powerful connections and meaningful changes. I appreciate opportunities to examine systems and institutions of power that influence client’s lives and wellbeing. I am invested in anti-racist and anti-oppressive therapy practices which center marginalized identities and experiences. I aspire to hold space for clients to explore creative solutions within and beyond the therapeutic relationship.
My areas of clinical focus include grief and loss, attachment systems, trauma, relationships, gender identity, and sexuality. I primarily work from a psychodynamic perspective and strive to facilitate a warm and non-judgmental therapeutic environment. I look forward to working with adults, adolescents, families and couples, and have a specialized interest in working with queer and transgender clients.
