From Optum to Carelon
Sutter Health has recently switched their Behavioral Health Network from Optum (United Healthcare) to Carelon Behavioral Health. This means that subcribers must now choose a Carelon provider.
Shine a Light Counseling Center is an in-network provider with Carelon Behavioral Health. So we can now see Sutter Health clients. This is a new development, so check with your Sutter or Palo Alto Medical Foundation plan to ask if you need an authorization to see a Carelon therapist.
